Established in Enfield in 1951 our school has developed over the years from a small class for Sunday school children to being the areas longest established dance school. |
Classes held daily in Enfield and Broxbourne with hundreds of pupils of all ages - many thousands of pupils have been entered successfully for ballet, tap, modern, jazz, national and drama examinations. |
Throughout the school's history we have presented our dance shows at many local and London theatres. |
We have a long association with the Broxbourne Theatre Company for pantomimes and musicals, featuring our very own ‘Jason Kids’ in the annual pantomime for nearly 60 years. |
Our ethos is to maintain the highest standards at all times with carefully structured classes conducted with a disciplined sense of fun, enhancing the professional reputation of Jason Theatre School. |
Our classes are carefully graded according to age and ability, ranging from tiny tots taking part in the Nursery Ballet classes in their pretty pink tutus, through to adults rekindling their passion and improving fitness in our relaxed social adult classes.
To ensure that pupils gain full benefit from each lesson and are able to form strong relationships with our dedicated team of teachers, class numbers are restricted. Boys are also encouraged to join us from any age, as dance is not only fun, but also instrumental in developing confidence, co-ordination and strength. A number of former boy pupils at the Jason Theatre School have gone onto successful dance careers.
Dance gives poise and confidence, and encourages teamwork and awareness of others. It develops musicality and rhythm, it’s a fun way to keep fit, make new friends and learn a new skill.
Many of our pupils started when they were three-years old and are still with us. Others bring back their children and their grandchildren to enjoy dancing, just as they did when they were younger. See our range of exciting performance opportunities.
